Do you want to strengthen your special education programming? Do you have questions about specially designed instruction (SDI)? Presenters will highlight 10 lessons learned from local educators related to planning and delivering SDI. This session can benefit educators and administrators who work with students with disabilities. It will address critical areas including the importance of setting high expectations, clarifying the definition of SDI in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and navigating common misconceptions surrounding SDI. Freely available tools and resources will be highlighted and shared to help participants gather a greater understanding of SDI.
