  • about Joseph Ahuna is a school-based speech language pathologist working in the KKP complex area. Originally from Kaneohe, Oahu, Joseph, worked as a personal injury attorney for 8 years in Hawaii before deciding on a career change. In 2015, he packed up his family of 6 and traveled to Vermillion South Dakota where he attended graduate school at the University of South Dakota and earned his master's degree in communication sciences and disorders. Upon completion, he and his family moved  back to Hawaii in 2019 where he now works as a school-based SLP servicing children with complex communication needs.  Joseph completed the Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP) certification program and is the first and currently only LAMP Certified Professional SLP in Hawaii.
